After 9 years of infertility, countless months of trying on our own to conceive, we have made the HUGE decision to move forward with IVF (or in vitro fertilization). We have paid for the cycle and will be buying the medications next week. I thought today I would share a little bit about what we are going to be going through over the next month to month-and-a-half. So, here is a brief overview of what our process is going to look like:
Today is my mom’s birthday!
Isn’t she beautiful!?! She is such a strong, loving, caring person. She has been there for me through all of life’s ups and downs! I couldn’t of asked for a better woman to call my mom!
From the diagnoses, to the doctors, to the treatments, there are so many new terms (and acronyms) that I have learned as I travel this path…
My husband and I have a running joke that every time I go to the doctor, they “stick me.” With going through this journey of infertility, whenever I go to the doctor, I am almost 100% certain that they are going to find some reason to draw blood.

Today I am sitting down and really thinking through what I want my future to hold. There have been goals that I have been working towards for so many years now, but only half-heartedly.
So, what are my goals?
- To eat healthier foods on a more regular basis
- To exercise at least 3 times a week
- To work on creating something a little every day
- To become a mama, but not allow the desire to consume me
